Carah Burton

My academic background and hands-on experience have built my skills in analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and retail strategies, with a strong interest in merchandise planning and buying. I’m pursuing a degree in fashion merchandising with a marketing minor at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Outside my studies, I focus on personal growth, guided by my faith and commitment to integrity, compassion, and enlightenment. I enjoy spending time outdoors, with family, and reflecting on life experiences. Driven by a love for fashion, I see it as a field full of opportunities to innovate, connect, and stay true to my values.

My Journey

I grew up in Huntington Beach, California, just outside of LA, and I’ve been fortunate to experience life on both the West and East Coasts. Growing up in Orange County exposed me to the contrast between high-class living and the city life of LA, giving me a diverse perspective. I grew up around my grandparents, who made custom road racing leathers. This sparked my interest in fashion from a young age and eventually led me to VCU. My life experiences, from living in different places to being surrounded by creativity, bring a unique and diverse perspective to everything I do.
